Our story
Orlique was born out of a deep belief that the body can heal itself, when it is given what it truly needs.
Health challenges have run through my family for as long as I can remember. My mother struggled for years with back pain, digestive issues and intolerances that left her exhausted and frustrated. My sister spent years in pain before finally being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and I have watched my own body give me the same quiet warnings over the years.
The moment that changed everything
When my sister's diagnosis came, something shifted for our whole family. We had been searching for answers for so long. Then, almost by chance, she removed gluten from her diet. Within three weeks she went from barely being able to walk to moving freely again, just by changing what she ate. That was the moment we stopped wondering whether food and lifestyle truly affect our health. We knew.
I have always believed that the body wants to heal itself. It simply needs the right conditions to do so.A different kind of education
I spent years trying to understand the body more deeply through formal study, including nutrition science and organisational psychology. I have always been drawn to understanding why people get sick and what the body actually needs to recover. Eventually that path led me to functional medicine. Instead of looking at symptoms in isolation, it asks the deeper question: what is the root cause, and what is the body actually missing?
I had already been living gluten free and dairy free for over a decade by then, managing my own joint pain, brain fog and fatigue through food, movement and mindset. Training with Andrea Nakayama in functional medicine gave me the framework to understand why it was working and what more was possible.
Why supplements, and why liposomal
So many of us are running on empty. Modern food, chronic stress and our environment quietly drain the nutrients our bodies need to function and repair themselves. Supplements should help fill that gap. But most of them just pass straight through without the body really absorbing them.
